Fellowship
We, at HIS Vine Free Seventh-day Adventist Church would like to take this opportunity to extend to you a very warm and heartfelt welcome to our services.
We believe that the Everlasting Gospel is to be preached to all people, no matter who you are, what your background is, what your lifestyle is or what you may or may not think about yourself. We believe that Jesus came and died for everyone, including you, and that is all that matters when it comes to fellowship.

We here at His Vine Free Seventh-Day Adventist Church use children’s Bible lessons that are designed to capture the interest of children and their parents, helping them understand the “big picture” of the great controversy. Using the King James Version Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy, each series progresses through the Bible stories in sequential order, laying the crucial foundation of understanding the origin of sin and God’s great plan of salvation.
“Our children are the Lord’s property; they have been bought with a price. This thought should be the mainspring of our labors for them. The most successful method of securing their salvation and of keeping them out of the way of temptation is to instruct them constantly in the word of God.”
– E.G. White, Counsels to Parents, Teachers, and Students, pg. 159.
Adult Classes: General Lesson Study
We here at His Vine Free Seventh-Day Adventist Church have set a goal to bring the Sabbath Lesson time to a great learning experience, to make the Bible come alive and be a reality in today’s trouble times. Each quarter we will be using Sabbath School Quarterlies written in the early 1900’s. We will be reprinting them and adding quotes into the lesson from Ellen G. White and other Pioneers as there is space.
Baptismal Classes
As needed, the pastor will hold baptismal classes for all desiring preparation for Baptism. The studies that will be used will be those our ministry staff has compiled and written that will reflect the true historic pioneer platform the Seventh-day Adventist Church was established on.
“The test of discipleship is not brought to bear as closely as it should be upon those who present themselves for baptism. It should be understood whether they are simply taking the name of Seventh-day Adventists, or whether they are taking their stand on the Lord’s side, to come out from the world and be separate, and touch not the unclean thing. Before baptism there should be a thorough inquiry as to the experience of the candidates. Let this inquiry be made, not in a cold and distant way, but kindly, tenderly, pointing the new converts to the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. Bring the requirements of the gospel to bear upon the candidates for baptism.
One of the points upon which those newly come to the faith will need instruction is the subject of dress. Let the new converts be faithfully dealt with. Are they vain in dress? Do they cherish pride of heart? The idolatry of dress is a moral disease. It must not be taken over into the new life. In most cases, submission to the gospel requirements will demand a decided change in the dress.”
-Ellen G. White, Testimonies to the Church Vol. 6 pg. 95, 96
“The test of discipleship is not brought to bear as closely as it should be upon those who present themselves for baptism. ... If they feel no burden to change their course of action, they should not be accepted as members of the church. The Lord wants those who compose His church to be true, faithful stewards of the grace of Christ.”
- Ellen G. White, Testimonies to Ministers pg. 128
Children’s Storytime
“At every suitable opportunity let the story of Jesus’ love be repeated to the children. In every sermon let a little corner be left for their benefit. The servant of Christ may make lasting friends of these little ones. Then let him lose no opportunity of helping them to become more intelligent in a knowledge of the Scriptures. This will do more than we realize to bar the way against Satan’s devices. If children early become familiar with the truths of God’s Word, a barrier against ungodliness will be erected, and they will be able to meet the foe with the words, 'It is written.'"
Ellen G. White, Child Guidance pg. 552
Testimony Time During Worship Hour
I have had my mind drawn recently to the subject of our Sabbath meetings. The work of the Sabbath School needs to be elevated. The leader appointed to conduct the church service should study and learn how to interest others. On this one day in the week, all who love God and are striving to keep His commandments should be given an opportunity to bear their testimony. Do not plan to have a discourse that shall occupy all the time, while those who assemble are given no opportunity to confess Christ.
-Ellen G. White, Volume 9 Manuscript Releases pg. 96
Sabbath Fellowship Meals
Each Sabbath afternoon, when the Worship hour is finished, the church will enjoy fellowship while eating a vegan vegetarian only meal. This will be provided by the members for all who attend services.
We hope that this will encourage each person to enjoy the entire Sabbath with our church as we discuss the day’s sermon and study Seventh-Day Adventist Pioneer Writings and other important topics.

Afternoon Activities for the Children
Sabbath Afternoon Programs Children’s Departments
The Sabbath afternoon time is far too often desecrated by the activity our children are allowed to do. While the adults are enjoying the prepared programs, our children’s staff will be helping to keep the children from 6-12 years of age occupied with uplifting and enjoyable activities.
Adult Classes: Discussion of the Day’s Sermon
“Whenever practicable, every important discourse should be followed by a Bible study. Here the points that have been presented can be applied, questions can be asked, and right ideas inculcated. More time should be devoted to patiently educating the people, giving them opportunity to express themselves. It is instruction that men need, line upon line and precept upon precept.
Special meetings also should be held for those who are becoming interested in the truths presented, and who need instruction. To these meetings the people should be invited, and all, both believers and unbelievers, should have an opportunity to ask questions on points not fully understood. Give all an opportunity to speak of their perplexities, for they will have them. In all the sermons and in all the Bible studies, let the people see that on every point a plain “Thus saith the Lord” is given for the faith and doctrines which we advocate.”
-Ellen G. White, Gospel Workers pg. 406
Historic Adventist Studies
“In the future, deception of every kind is to arise, and we want solid ground for our feet. We want solid pillars for the building. Not one pin is to be removed from that which the Lord has established. The enemy will bring in false theories, such as the doctrine that there is no sanctuary. This is one of the points on which there will be a departing from the faith. Where shall we find safety unless it be in the truths that the Lord has been giving for the last fifty years?”
Ellen G. White, Review & Herald, May 25, 1905
Membership Training
The church of Christ is organized for service. Its watchword is ministry. Its members are soldiers, to be trained for conflict under the Captain of their salvation. Christian ministers, physicians, teachers, have a broader work than many have recognized. They are not only to minister to the people, but to teach them to minister. They should not only give instruction in right principles, but educate their hearers to impart these principles. Truth that is not lived, that is not imparted, loses its life-giving power, its healing virtue. Its blessing can be retained only as it is shared.
The monotony of our service for God needs to be broken up. Every church member should be engaged in some line of service for the Master. Some cannot do so much as others, but everyone should do his utmost to roll back the tide of disease and distress that is sweeping over our world. Many would be willing to work if they were taught how to begin. They need to be instructed and encouraged.
Every church should be a training school for Christian workers. Its members should be taught how to give Bible readings, how to conduct and teach Sabbath-school classes, how best to help the poor and to care for the sick, how to work for the unconverted. There should be schools of health, cooking schools, and classes in various lines of Christian help work. There should not only be teaching, but actual work under experienced instructors. Let the teachers lead the way in working among the people, and others, uniting with them, will learn from their example. One example is worth more than many precepts.”
-Ellen G. White, Ministry of Healing pg. 149
Health & Wellness Seminars
God calls upon every church member to dedicate his life unreservedly to the Lord’s service. He calls for decided reformation. All creation is groaning under the curse. God’s people should place themselves where they will grow in grace, being sanctified, body, soul, and spirit, by the truth. When they break away from all health-destroying indulgences, they will have a clearer perception of what constitutes true godliness. A wonderful change will be seen in the religious experience.
-Ellen G. White, Review & Herald, May 27, 1902
Prayer Meetings
Prayer Meeting will be held weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM-8:45 PM.
We will spend one hour each week in study.
“A prayer meeting will always tell the true interest of the church members in spiritual and eternal things. The prayer meeting is as the pulse to the body; it denotes the true spiritual condition of the church. A lifeless, backslidden church has no relish for the prayer meetings. Young men and women of no depth of religious experience, who are vain and proud and frivolous, can feel no satisfaction in engaging in religious exercises. They prefer to pass the time in flirtations or reading novels, or in other ways of pleasing and gratifying the feelings of the natural heart.”
